Coach Wages

I was wondering how coaching wages are determined and if higher base wages meant that the coach was better than a coach with a lower base wage?

From what I've noticed, it does kinda seem like coaches with a higher starting bid for wage have a higher average on stats. I haven't read anywhere whether that's 100% true or not, though

Starting bid is the wage he used to earn on another players team

They decrease by 5%, for each day they aren't picked up, so prices will not be too crazy xD.
