I see players on the market now with 11 top and some users having more than 5 players, how did that happen already?

The youth academy. If you had selected how many players you want earlier before the daily update (not the restart), you would have had players you could hire already. Or just buy them from the Market.

As said above, using the youth academy and scouting systems will generate new players, which users are either using to replace their starting rosters or selling on the market.

I set that right away too and got no players, which i why i am confussed

You might have missed the daily update by a couple of hours (so did I, feels bad man). Youth academy is one of the systems that gets updated once a day, so the people with players from it are the ones who set it up yesterday after the reset.

Youth academy players came out much stronger than expected. It's a great boost to everyone's team in the beginning.
