So, am I supposed to let the player stay in the academy to train? or just hire him and then Train him with my coaches?

You might want to wait a bit. There is a talk about the academy being unbalanced and the player will most likely be nerf a lot.

I understand it being op, and all. I'm just trying to know before hand. That way after the nerf, whether to keep them in the academy to train, or to hire them and train them with my coaches.
