Ranked Games ELO Decay

Currently I'm sitting at #4, been at the same elo for about a week due to needing to preserve it for sponsors. But I'm essentially a dead team on that leaderboard, and it doesnt make sense to have me up there because I'm unable to be fought by another team and I won't lose ELO, and there's no punishment for staying with 0 games and focusing on streaming/training with everyone.

Feel like there should be measures taken to prevent this. Either a stat that punishes lack of ranked games (lack of practice as a team, no cohesion) and would negatively affect league games, ELO decay to stop someone hogging a spot and sponsors. Something along those lines at least to keep the leaderboards shifting.

Well, having a certain Elo for Sponsors only really affects you.

However, I do agree that this leads to a stagnation once you reach a certain threshold; there should be a "Teamwork" stat for the team itself that is judged based on how many games the starting lineup has been playing with the team. This also counterbalances just picking up players and instantly becoming better...since those players would need time to acclimate to the team, even if it's just a few weeks. Those players wouldn't affect the team's Teamwork score so long as their on the bench, but they would affect it less the more time they're on the team (number of Team Ranked games played while they're on the team, period, not just playing).

Well i somewhat like the idea, tho i would make the teamwork more of a modiefier. Lets say your team played together for 10 days now which is not so little plus having a lot of teamrankeds giving you an overall 5-15% bonus on match performance to a max of lets say 25% (guess that will be a difficult balancing thing). A new player wont start at 0% if the rest of the team is still there but they will lose at least 5% maybe even more. If you change 3 players within ~5 days it gets resetted to 0% as most of the team left and its basically a new team.

Anyways this wouldnt really solve the problem here i think. It would be a better solution if everyones right now just upgrading his players by hiring new ones or get academy rolls.

I think an Elo decay especially for the Top 50/100 is necessary if you dont play at least 1-3 rankeds per day.

Just as in LoL itself, decay should kick in around the 1700-1800 Elo range.
