Some thoughts and ideas about the game
Obviously, long time no see! It's so great, amazing and motivating to see that some of you have been playing the game for so long even with no updates or maintenance for years. Time really does go by fast.
I still have an odd passion and interest for building such games, however I haven't seriously considered continuing as I have my normal work, however I feel like maybe now could be a good time to take it up as a hobby. I already started to make some small tweaks here and there. I fixed (hopefully) a dreaded veterans not being able to join the league bug and some other minor things.
I put some cash into Google Ads the week before, to see if it can bring some activity, but of course it's not very cost effective. There maybe a bit more activity thanks to that, but I also figured that what would be cool - is if I created some LLM controlled teams - each given perhaps slightly different strategy goals, and themes. E.g. a team that might be looking to utilize youth academy to try and make money via transfer market. A team that might want to focus all on one single carry, etc. I will mark those teams of course - I already created some too. I haven't marked them yet though. They won't have any special advantages, except what they can try to learn from iteration or Wiki or Forums etc. They could have their own sub forum though, as well.
There's some other obvious issues that I would want to address. Of course many game simulator bugs. I started building V5 already to address some of the bugs, but I'm still thinking about the best way for deployment, perhaps doing shadow games testing first, and getting your feedback to make sure I won't ruin anything existing.
There's many bugs that I'm already aware of and have addressed by V5, but of course will need a lot of testing in general.
Then I have a fix planned for Solo Queue ranking and matchmaking to address the player with 13k+ ELO l3rowmcow.
l3rowncow are you okay with me implementing a fix there (for fairer matchmaking and the way ELO rating will develop/evaluate). The fix will likely mean that this player will be put into matches with the weakest ones in its team while losing a lot of rating each game.
Anyway, I have some ideas that I would like to try out as a hobby, I can't promise anything extraordinary or how much time overall I will have available or that I will not randomly drop it, I will do my best to not break anything, but I do have to be able to move somewhat fast with changes so I may not always be able to perfectly warn in advance, I will definitely keep a detailed changelog of any changes though. And things like game simulator changes I will keep some sort of shadow running in parallel so differences could be observed for a same game.
So stability might suffer a bit, but it would allow to do more with little time. I also have tons of other thoughts and ideas I didn't mention here yet, which I would like to get to, but I'll start with those. If there's anything important you think that I should immediately focus on, then let me know here as well.
Is there anyone here who would object to that?
